The Mission

America is a Democratic Republic, meaning that the people have the power to choose who runs and leads the country. Yet, according to electproject.org, just 60.1% of eligible voters voted in the 2016 presidential election. Not only is this statistic dangerously low, not all Americans realize the strength and power of the vote. With just one checkmark or filled-in bubble, our nation transforms for the next four years, and possibly more.

Unfortunately, at seventeen years old, I am unable to cast a vote in this year's election. Thus, as an attempt to practice my civic duty and emphasize this democratic power, I created this blog. Each blogpost contains months of dedicated research so that you, the reader, can form educated opinions and recognize the urgency to raise the 60%.
